About Us

Kireka Super Mamas Association is a community-based, non-profit, and non-political women’s organization established in 2018 in Kireka Zone “A”, Namugongo Division, Kira Municipality, Wakiso District, Uganda. The Association was founded by Ms. Sarah Namufumba with a vision of empowering women, supporting vulnerable families, and promoting sustainable social and economic development.

The Association was born out of lived experience. Having faced the challenges of becoming a teenage mother and later raising eight children as a single mother, Ms. Sarah Namufumba understood the struggles, vulnerability, and hardships that many women face every day. Inspired by her personal journey and a deep desire to restore hope to others, she established Kireka Super Mamas Association to provide a platform where women could support one another, acquire practical skills, and build better futures for themselves and their families.

Today, the Association brings together women from different backgrounds who share a common commitment to love, unity, mutual support, and self-reliance. We work to empower women, widows, single mothers, teenage mothers, youth, and other vulnerable members of the community through vocational skills training, entrepreneurship, savings and loan initiatives, resource mobilization, and income-generating projects.

Beyond economic empowerment, we foster a spirit of compassion and solidarity by standing together during life’s celebrations and challenges. We believe that no woman should face hardship alone and that collective support strengthens families and transforms communities.  We welcome members, partners, volunteers, donors, and well-wishers who share our vision of empowering women and transforming lives.
